Utica University Mental Health Open Forum with Christian Beck

The goal of this forum is to get students in a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable enough to talk or ask questions about traditionally sensitive topics.
Utica University will hold a student-run mental health open forum with Colgate University mental health counselor, Christian Beck. The event will be held on Wednesday, November 30 from 6-8 p.m. in the Strebel Auditorium, and there will be hot chocolate available for all students who attend.
Mental health challenges are ever more prevalent, especially among college students, and the goal of this forum is to get students in a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable enough to talk or ask questions about traditionally sensitive topics. In addition, students will learn about ways to support family and friends who are struggling with mental health.
Christian Beck studied psychology at the University of New Hampshire, and is currently a licensed staff counselor at Colgate University’s counseling center. He shares his insight and advice regarding various mental health topics in the form of guest appearances on video platforms including YouTube and Vimeo.
